..........
Glad to see Wii Fit. I have no interest in Wii Play but to be in the npd since its release is making me want to try it.  Animal Crossing ROCK ON! Smash Brothers for the motherfucking win.

fake edit: Wii Music over 800,000? Add 300,000 from japan and we have another million seller! Confidence in gaming restored! Cry more otakus.

Holy shit at Left 4 Dead

also, no Fallout 3 on those lists = :(

VGlolz has their number around 2.5M for the 360/PS3 for the year. I find it hard to believe that vglolz would have over tracked by almost 1M for it not to make the top 10. I dunno.  ???

I guess you just learned something about vgchartz.

What a horrible yearly top 10 list, I hope third parties keep on ignoring nintendo and their less ridicule looking gamecube and still release all their awesome games on the ps3/360.

Jesus christ I forgot how much zealotry there is with the Nintendo fanbase.

I made a simple comment on GAF on how Wii Fit should be considered hardware, and I had like 20 Nintendo fans on my ass over the comment.  What a pathetic group they are.  They actually think I give a shit about the sales, and especially the Wii.   :lol

You don't need to be a Nintendo fanthing to point out your stupidity, dear. Saying Wii Fit should be considered hardware is like saying Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Dance fucking Revolution should also be hardware.

Damn, Nintendomination in Dec's top 20 games. Makes me sad as a hardcore gamer.

Prince of Persia bomba makes me happy as a hardcore gamer.

Sony needs to get their shit together. They should make the Killzone 2 MP beta an open beta RIGHT NOW and make people see the amazing or something.

Well, that makes sense. He's working on some licensed flash online client type game for tweens, and apparently Free Realms and Club Penguin are two of the titles he always mentions.

Poor guy, he went from creating a big MMO to working on this.  :(

well, there is a demo coming out early on the 5th.  Also, reactions to the beta seemed to be mixed, so who knows how that will turn out.  It certainly didn't help Resistance 2.

speaking of stupid demos only with preorder deals, has anyone played the Resistance PSP demo yet? it's supposed to be up

Not sure why they can't just make the Killzone 2 MP beta an open beta. Even though COD4 was not an open beta, the MP demo did A LOT of good for that game's buzz prior to release. Seems rather shortsighted to try and monetize this demo when they could be spreading the good word about KZ2.

And does someone have me on ignore already? More powah 2 U.

More powah 2 U.

yeah, with all the money they have tied up in kz2 you'd think they'd want to get it into as many hands as possible

Its almost like Sony doesnt give a fuck. No adds. Exclusive Demo at Gamestop.

Its going to pull Resistance 2 numbers next month. Where it could do even better.

Wont be too long till its MAG HYPE THREAD and KZ is forgotten

On the one hand, I'm happy that they aren't going with the demo "beta" shit that every damned developer/publisher is going for these days. The beta felt very much like a beta, and not a demo version in need of a serious disclaimer. On the other hand, the game could probably use a demo then, and it should probably be released soon.

If they screw up the marketing of the most marketable property around, then they might as well drop out for the next few years.

well, there is a demo coming out early on the 5th.  Also, reactions to the beta seemed to be mixed, so who knows how that will turn out.  It certainly didn't help Resistance 2.

speaking of stupid demos only with preorder deals, has anyone played the Resistance PSP demo yet? it's supposed to be up

Isn't the demo coming out 1 DAY before the retail game for anyone who doesn't give a shit enough to try and score it from Gamestop?

Truly shows a lot of confidence in letting their game speak for itself.

Also, I was not under the impression (at least from GAF) that the MP demo had mixed reviews. It's a creamblast over there.

Sure, David Ellis doesn't like it, but that's because I moneyhatted him.

I still wonder how Insomniac felt about the KZ2 beta hitting R2 right on the cock. It was a limited beta so the actual effect can't have been that significant, but it seemed like a pretty dick thing to do. Not that R2 deserved any spotlight, though.

Has there ever been a console to have a negative yoy December in the middle of a generation?

Sony's fall is nothing less than stunning.

I don't understand how Sony operates.  The Resistance 2 beta was more of a demo, the Motorstorm PR demo was more of a beta, the demo for Killzone 2 is is almost a month exclusive to preorders at Gamestop.  The only reasoning I could think of is that they've given up on having a single game make a huge splash in it's first month and now focus on consistent decent sales and marketing post-release.  I mean, I wouldn't exactly be shocked if MGS4 is still in the demo reel at their next E3 conference.

And I didn't read many impressions of Killzone 2, but even outside of David Ellis, I saw a few others having problems with the general movement and all that.

and again, speaking of exclusive demos, if the FEAR 2 demo on PSN is any indication of the quality of the final game, then the PS3 version should give you flashbacks of the early PS3 ports.

Mostly initial reactions from people who assumed that it would be a COD4 or Halo 3 clone, though. I think my initial reaction was of that sort, but it changed pretty quickly. Although, that may be a fair point in regards to a demo, as I'm sure plenty of people will have the same first reaction. Then again, the game has a few things going for it to keep people at it until the controls and game pacing feels natural, so that may not be a realistic concern beyond the very first impressions.

I thought the game was great and I'm confident the PC version (which I'm getting) will be great, but there was slowdown all over the place along with some weird audio glitches.  Last E3 they would show off the same demo played on the 360 without all these problems.

Wasn't element bragging about how that was not going to happen? Not that I care, I'm getting the PC version, but this reeks of Turok. Maybe it's just the demo build, but when has that ever turned out to be true?

I have David Ellis on my twitter and he just posted to say Street Fighter IV is better than KZ2. What a dick.

Another month the same story. Sony isn't getting back up from this, why are people still expecting them too? What's surprising to me is how solidly Microsoft spanked Sony without having to even bat an eye.

to be fair, MS had a lot of help from Sony
