That I didn't know about. I apparently have 2 brothers and a sister. I never knew my "real" father and apparently his sister got a hold of my mom and well... What a mind trip that is.

Brothers that are 23, 15 and a sister that's 20. It's sort of fucked up. I dunno what to honestly think about it all.

I apparently have a second sister that my mom put up for adoption. I'm still the oldest. I think she's making it up, though.

I hear a lot of stories like this due to how popular (secret) polygamy is around here, but man that must be a tough situation I can't imagine how it feels.

Not knowing my father I'm always worried that something like this will happen.

As for skeletons jumping out of closets.  In grade 8 I was having super with my mom and grandma and they were talking about when my mom was 1...anyways long story short I found out that my grandpa isn't the blood father of my mom, so no blood relation to me, and that my grandparents didn't get married till till my mom was 2.  I learn't all this in the course of about 20 seconds and what's worse is that they both assumed for some reason that I already knew. 

Also one xmas my mom got a flower basket and when I read the name turned out it was my father.  When I asked my mom about it, it turnes out he sent them to my aunts to because apparently my aunts and him still talk.  That was weird.

Anyhow, it's a tough situation. I wouldn't get in contact right away if I were you, let it sink in. We're talking about new uncles and aunts for your kids, it's not an easy decision to take...

I've had a similar shock. My dad lives in Morocco and I see him once a year (and when younger, 3 times a year). Anyway for 2 years I didn't see him, then when he realises we're going to visit he decides to confess that he's married a 24 year old who's pregnant with my half brother  Still haven't seen the baby, apparently he is the spitting image of me (as I look a lot like my dad but the female version). Funny thing is, he probably wouldn't have said anything if we didn't decide to go to Morocco that year.

This same thing (almost exactly) just happened to my cousin last year.  His father left when he was really young and last year he found he had a half brother and sister.  What I told him is it's awesome if you eventually become close but you have no ties to these people so if nothing works out, there's nothing lost.  Hope you're ok.
