Is EDF 2017 really all that? I keep hearing it's great, and a sandbox game, but am hard-pressed to believe a Simple 2000-series sequel is worth the non-2000-yen risk.
wtf? it's got like 53 levels but there's basically 3 environments. It's got definite flaws like the lack of variety to the enemies and environments and the fact that the achievements can be hard to get (the inferno difficulty achievement is impossible if you don't health farm).
The positives is that it's a fucking awesome co-op game. I have like 72 hours into it right now and most of that is co-op. There's just something about having 2 people play it that makes it awesome.
I never played the last games in the series and only played this one because a lot of people recommended it here but I have no idea how it is compared to the older games. You should be able to get it for about $20 and if you want a co-op game, it's a really good deal.
