So I bought R6V2 for $10 this weekend on Steam, and this morning I decide to use my 360 controller

Normally I wouldn't use a controller for FPS games, but R6V2 has like 800 keystroke commands, and if I wanted to take a typing class I wouldn't have bought a video game

So in the menu, I try to enable the 360 stick, but it won't let me even though all the options are there

I look around on the net, and apparently this is a fuckup on Ubi's part, you have to go into the joystick config and manually enter product id numbers and shit

Only none of the ones I tried for the last 20 minutes work

Ubi knows about the issue, they just don't give a fuck

Ubisoft = shit company total

Now i know why the PC version of this game is $10 already

at least i only bought a $10 ubisoft game instead learning that ubisoft is a shitty pc company via a $60 purchase

Ubisoft probably knew R6V2 was going to be a game that wouldn't be well-received, and they probably just took a dump on its head support-wise.

What a fall from grace. ~2004-2005 they were the anti-EA, pushing out great games like Chaos Theory, GRAW, Beyond Good and Evil and now they make Wii Gamez :'(

Depends on the situation. I have my computer hooked up to my tv in the bedroom. While I prefer using mouse and keyboard, sometimes I just don't want to deal with it when lying in bed. Plus I'm also pretty good with a controller for FPS's so it doesn't bother me all that much when making the switch.

They decided to make a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil even thought the first game sold like shit so I can't be mad at them. Although thinking about it, I haven't bought a single Ubi game this generation.

one thing i liked with defense grid is if you go into controls it's set up for a 360 pad if you want to use it. probably because they're doing an XBLA version but it's still nice to know its set up for a pad
