I'm sure this has happened to people before. I went out last night, and our table happened to be situated 10 feet away from one of the main speakers in the club. I was only there for about two and a half hours, but the ringing in my right ear (the ear that was facing the speaker more often than not) is still there 15 hours after the fact.
Basically, I want to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this of a similar/longer duration, and if so, how it worked out. I know it wasn't a smart move to stay so close to the speaker (and the music was unbelievably loud, not normal club loud; we were all commenting about it), but it's not one of those things you think about in the moment. Some quick googling suggested that I consult my doctor if the ringing persists for more than 12-16 hours, so I guess I'll call him tomorrow when he's in if it's still an issue (I'd call him now, but I'm pretty sure there's nothing they can do for this based on my reading). It seems like it's gotten better some, but it's still noticeable. It isn't affecting my hearing in that ear. I'm just a bit (or more) worried.
