So I've beeen drinking and stuff for like asllll night now and I'm laid out here isn bed, and I think I've finall yrealized what's missing from life... a PET! THinkn about it, I've only gone 1.3 years without a pet... we;ve alsways had cats... a dog, a CHINCHILLA... a rabbit once...

So I'm going to get a pet. What souhlfd I get? I'm thinking cat, but that's so... cliche.. there's gotta be sometihng better... like a cool kinda bird.

dude, don't get a pet

the suffering when it's gone is not worth it

especially if it's a dog

I always suggest a cat, but you seem to want something odd. Perhaps a reptile of some sort?

A donkey would be a great conversation piece.  "Oh yeah, that's just Steve.  Give him some hay, he's cool."

A little Master Shake. Barks a lot and demands a whole lot of attention though.

A cat or rescue a 4-5 year old dog from the Humane Society, they don't have as much energy as a puppy and can hold it in longer.

I'm a strong believer of adopting a pet that needs a good home. I will never buy an animal. I'll always rescue and save though. Maybe you should think about that.

I think my cats awesome, but its so much fuckin work keeping her under control. If you DO get a pet, make sure they're already old and slow.

I agree with the iguana suggestion. I had one for about a year, and he was pretty awesome before he ran away.

Where the fuck does an iguana run to?

My next door neighbor had one that kept getting out of his cage, but not outside the house lol

You could try an oyster. It's easier to maintain than fish and comes with "play dead" feature right out of the box. Rover would be a fun name.

A lobster would be fun, too. If you take it on a walk on a leash, you'll be the talk of the town.

What's wrong with cats, asshole?  >:(

I'd much rather have a cat in this situation. Dogs always need to go outside and stuff. Cats are really, really good at taking care of themselves, and they are pretty patient.

If you get a bird, clip the wings though.  Not all the way or else they'll still try to jump and fly and fall like a brick but enough so that they can't go up.  Cute motherfuckers.

Its harder to have a dog in an apartment as there's the whole 'will it bark all night and keep up neighbors? will I get a notice?'

An older cat or dog from the humane society, as some others have said. or another chinchilla.

cats are the best for dudes in apartments, not that high maint. and if they do take a shit on your carpet its not a monstrosity that you dont want to pick up because its oddly warm and wont try to eat you. plus they eat bugs like spiders i hate fucking spiders
