Sure, there aren't enough interesting alien species to give the sense of space opera that it wants to convey, sure some of the story is ripped straight out of other sci fi, but this game was fun as hell.

I just wish there were more parts of the game that were as awesome as the last 2~3 hours of the game though. Because holy crap, playing those final hours with settings maxed on the PC, it was epic, really freaking epic.

I didn't do any side quests, basically went at it like a movie or something, you know, the universe is about to blow up, who gives a fuck about what some dude wants from another dude, it kinda breaks the immersion, since the objective is so important, so i just went main quest only, and i loved it.

I can't wait for Mass Effect 2 now, i really hope EA puts the budget behind it, and allows Bioware to maybe do more epic moments throughout the game, and not leave it all for the end, not that the rest wasn't fun, but still.

Alien sex was awesome...again. Anyway, i hope Bioware follows up my ending for the sequel.

I dont know how the DLC disc works, though. But if you can install it anytime I'm all for a conga-line.

Mass Effect DLC was the shortest DLC I have ever played. It was ridiculously easy too. Can't believe they are distributing it on disc.

Well it also comes with the videos and shit that the LE got... its basically the LE + DLC

The DLC was like how all the side-missions should have been.  Didn't feel worth the money either.   :-\

Mass Effect was pretty great. The main quest was solid and got really interesting towards the end. The side-quest planets really let it down though, there was fuck-all to do on them except drive around and click on the occasional rock.

The DLC was disappointing, it was short, didn't add anything to the overall plot and still used the same identikit buildings.

Being a total dick is why I play WRPGs and Mass Effect lets me be the dickiest

The DLC was free on the superior PC version.
