If you downloaded the "Death Magnetic" album for Xbox and PS3, those ten songs will play in their entirety in the full game mode. PS2 and Wii versions (coming in the Spring, most likely in early May) will include "Broken Beat & Scarred," "Cyanide" and "My Apocalypse" since they are not compatible with the Death Magnetic downloadable content.

Other Artists:
Alice In Chains - No Excuses
Bob Seger - Turn The Page
Corrosion of Conformity - Albatross
Diamond Head - Am I Evil?
Foo Fighters - Stacked Actors
Judas Priest - Hell Bent For Leather
Kyuss - Demon Cleaner
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesdays Gone
Machine Head - Beautiful Mourning
Mastodon - Blood And Thunder
Mercyful Fate - Evil
Michael Schenker Group - Armed and Ready
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
Queen - Stone Cold Crazy
Samhain - Mother of Mercy
Slayer - War Ensemble
Social Distortion - Mommy's Little Monster
Suicidal Tendencies - War Inside My Head
System of a Down - Toxicity
The Sword - Black River
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back in Town

Should have been Rock Band DLC.

They're saving it for GH5, with a banjo peripheral so you can play White Wedding also.

Having not played my copy of GHWT yet, what makes the game so bad?

Inferior to RB2 in every way possible.  Pretty pointless to play when you have a far superior product sitting right next to you.

Well, on one hand the setlist looks pretty good.

On the other hand, it's Guitar Hero and a fair chunk of those songs are or will be in Rock Band.  Then again, we don't know when they'll be in Rock Band.

I dunno, I'll probably rent it.

Not every single way:

* Hardware is arguably superior
* Activate star power at will on drums/mic
* Open notes on bass
* Slide sections and notes during sustains on guitar

Despite it being a fairly shitty, unpolished product, there is some good.

*It's a wash IMO.  Harmonix got off their asses and made hardware that works this time around.
*Both decent aspects that are negated by equally distinguished mentally-challenged additions (getting points for wailing and talking like a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow during freestyle sections)
*Fair enough
*Good in theory, sucks ass in gameplay since slider sections are seemingly random and you don't even notice until you are in the middle of one.

Harmonix licensed 18 Metallica songs for Rock Band (along with 18 Grateful Dead songs.)  Only five have been released, so there's another 13 left.  14 if you're very hopeful for an Enter Sandman DLC release.

i c

damn, I really don't want to wait for them when I don't even know when they'll be realease, but buying GH:M and then seeing all the good songs (I'm assuming Harmonix didn't really try to go for the newer shit) pop up in the RB store would REALLY suck

I thought Expert+ was only for the drums and was basically just a double-bass addition.  It's probably not that much different.

GHWT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> RB2

I was a life long Harmonix fan boy, but RB2 seemed like more of the same shit while GHWT was solid, and had an amazing track list.

I can't wait for this though.
