Afro Samurai: Resurrection this sunday on spike. Anyone else hyped?

The IGN 100 greatest animated series list reminded me that Afro Samurai: Resurrection was going to be released soon, so I checked and it'll premiere this Sunday on Spike at ten o' clock. I was pretty sure it was going to be released in February but that's when the DVD releases.

Afro Samurai is one of my favorite animated mini-series, everything about it is perfect.

The influences of hip hop, complete with score by the RZA

So it's pretty much confirmed that I'm going to check it out and probably DVR it too until I can pick up the Directors Cut in February.

So is anyone else going to check it out?

I'm enjoying this soooooo much. This easily could be a film released in theaters and is one of the strongest anime ips as of late. Could easily be seen as a classic up there with the likes of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop many years from now.

  I don't know about that but it was certainly better than the first. Good stuff.
