So, theres this event on Friday. I was supposed to be from 6-8. Friday is my birthday and I have like 10 friends coming from out-of-town and there is an UNSTOPPABLY AWESOME Dan Deacon show like right next to my apartment, but I was like 6-8 sn't that bad and it was close to home and I figured I could sneak away at like 7.

Now I'm being told that the event is 7-10 and that I SHOULD MISS MY BIRTHDAY AND MY FRIENDS AND THE SHOW for this stupid fucking event that'll be lucky to have more than 10 people to show up. Fuck that. I am not doing that. I do not get paid nearly enough to work 4 1/2 extra hours on my birthday when I made other plans. Nowhere near enough.

But seriously, I work 50+ hours a week to start, I do EVERY SINGLE EVENT no one else wants to do. I handle all of our web shit, social media stuff, plus our real-world event set-up and recently I've somehow become the event coordinator, plus they're intending to send me on the road next month to nowheresville for some Vegetarian Festival. All this for a sweet, sweet take-home pay of 19,874 dollars. I am not working 7-10. Not when I have 9 other able bodied co-workers

My boss forgot to- haha- get his products to the warehouse (WHAT A MINOR OVERSIGHT!) and so now it is my job tonight to do that instead of going home. For real. I am getting out of Friday or I willlllll walk. I cant believe this place is still in business

future islands is kind of synthpop with slightly bowie edge, double dagger is post hardcore
