You do know the reason why they are going to offer this epilogue DLC, is because the game bombed, and thus, they can't continue the story with a sequel, because there will be no sequel.

This game was a major release for Ubisoft, sales expectations were in the 2/3 million mark. The dev himself said that sequels depended on the success of the installment. It's the worst selling Ubisoft Prince of Persia by far.It's a bomb. This ain't the Ps1 days. Next Prince of Persia will be very different.

yeah, I remember someone joking a while back (I think from EA) about selling the end of the game as DLC to combat piracy. Ubisoft listened.
