No. There's just a tense incestuous tone going on, IIRC. I kinda liked the remake, even though if it was a bit unnecessary and way too obvious and librully. Meryl Streep awesomely chews scenery in it, but that's kind of expected.

I was reading up on the age difference between Harvey and JB Fletcher, and had totally forgot the scene where Sinatra first met Janet Leigh. I thought she was a commie too.
