Naw, you really started improving your game there with Guile. I found it difficult to hit you with focus attacks, which hadn't happened before. Lots o' fun...matches where the other guy just goes HADOKENHADOKENHADOKENHADOKENSHOYRYUKENHADOKEN over and over are so boring. Sure you get BP in ranked, but it's usually just a few points since they have none to lose, and I'd much rather play a match where even if I lose, hell, even if I am PERFECTED, against a good player. It's just so much more satisfying and the only way to learn.

Back in the early-mid 90's, people were more willing to learn games, but now a lot of those same people seem to have moved on to FPS games where no real control learning curve is required.

You simply hold back/down for about two seconds, then immediately press forward/up and the attack button together. It might just be that you are not waiting long enough when charging.

You know, I am really surprised by how this game turned out. Last year when the first shots were trickling out, I had zero hope that it would be anything but a giant bomb. They seem to have pulled it together though, and the game seems to have come together really nicely.

I'm also happily surprised by all of the hype that is coming with the game at launch. It's wonderful.

It's great to be wrong about things like this.

I still have three pads on pre-order at Amazon (one more for 360 and two for PS3), but I'm seriously considering changing it to two sticks instead. I love the pad but I am finding myself wanting a more arcade-like experience now.

I think I might pull out the older Nyko SF Anniversary Stick and mess around with some PS2 games and HD Remix to see how it feels. I can never use joysticks at home for reason; need the arcade-style set-up. But I dunno.

Man, my saturn usb controller came in today and messed around with it in SF II HD Remix. The thing is perfect. I can't imagine ever using a arcade stick over it, I forgot how great the saturn pad was.

I am very much a pad dude at home, but my opinion still remains that a stick is basically a must for real high-level stuff. There are just some things that are that much easier to do with a stick.

So I just checked the Gamestop website and it said they pads in stock right down the street, and came back with a PS3 pad.

Eager to see how it differs, if at all, from the 360 pad. They told me they were all out of sticks and only got two (for pre-orders), and had no idea if they were getting any more. If Amazon still has them up for pre-order I think I may get one for 360.

EDIT: H'okay- Comes with a USB dongle, needs two AA batteries. I think I would have rather had one like the 360 with a cable.

Just tested it in HD Remix (man it is WEIRD going to that after so much SF4, I kept trying to do focus attacks

) and it worked great. Same as the 360 pad; nice and responsive and it has a nice grip. So thumbs-up, but the Saturn pad is probably going to be the better buy assuming it's good quality.

Did you use your reward zone card? They can verify your purchase through that.

Got the game and my TE stick today. I was worried about not liking the square gate but after pulling off 10 dragon punches flawlessly, winning 10 out of 11 matches, and pulling off Dhalsim's super in HD Remix I'm not even thinking about getting octagonal gate anytime soon.

This stick is very the key to my chastity belt. Now that the shackles are off I'm feeling like a king. My only minor quibble is the sensitivity of the buttons. You could barely be touching the button and it could set off a move. Other than that it's the best stick I've laid my hands on outside of an arcade.

I got my white USB Saturn controller today, and it's fucking awesome. I forgot how amazing this pad feels.

Only disadvantage is how short the cord is (it's comparable to the GameCube's). I definitely need a USB extension cable to play about 8 feet away from my TV.

The 360 install doesn't change the load time. It's already nice and fast; installing it on PS3 makes it load at about 360 speed, LOLZ.

this game is awesome. I only played 3 games online, with the exception of one I was on the losing side, but all three were lag free. I need to go into training mode and learn all the moves so I don't mash and hope to get out a special/ultra.

I played some player matches with a Left Coast pal (went 3-2!) and that was fun. Only one match, where I got brutally whooped, had lag. I guess I'm not good enough to play ranked matches - yet.
