X360 update
« on: February 03, 2009, 03:21:16 PM »
I turned on my X360 and got one of the longer updates I've had on the system.  Is there a list of what the changes were?  Everything looks the same to me.

Does the update remove NXE?

If not, I won't bother.

NXE is one of the best things to happen to console gaming since Xbox 360 to PC play.

 :lol

Nope, it's horrible.

Well while NXE is fucked with ads and the navigation sucks..

it does look better than the previous OS.

It may look better, but too bad it's not functional...at all.

I guess it's nice to install games, but it's not a function I'll ever use. And avatars LOLOLOL

The ads in the NXE are all on the pages that I don't even look at. I'll take that over the old dash where you'd see a square ad staring at you from every blade.

I like the NXE a lot. I didn't think I would but I do, except for the stripped-down wireless troubleshooting.

Why would you never use the install feature? No more vacuum sounds, games load faster etc..

Not really practical with my HDD worth of 13GB. It's not like I play one game at a time.

Who are you again?  :lol

Wow, they actually fixed the HDMI problem, I figured that was a lost cause.

Can finally switch out these D-terminals!

Talking about HDMI audio, will this fix the fact that I have to turn my TV volume up to ridiculous levels to watch and actually hear my DVD's? Or is this caused by my TV?

though with my limited time with using the xmb it was actually nice and surprisingly fast (based on how it looked). I never used the OG  interface though so i cant compare  :'(

Groo, I had the same problem. I did the 360 upgrade, then tried logging in to Xbox.com and was rewarded with a redirect to a "page not found"-land.

Well since I usually don't play arcade games, and if I do I can download them fast. Most of the time I've got two full games installed on my 13GB HDD.

Is there a site with a list of game sizes?  I hate how it doesn't tell you the disc install size, and with a tiny 20gb HD, space matters!
