The rules:

1.) You must be single right now.
2.) You must like the woman you ask out.*
3.) No bribing, although paying for her dinner is accepted dating protocol.

Winners get a date with a girl they like. Losers get a consolation prize box of tissues.

Contest valid until February 14, 2009 11:59 p.m. by your respective time zone.

the really annoying thing about Valentine's Day is that it means I can't ask any of the girls I do know to hang out with me until after the 24th, to avoid the appearance that I'm trying to get a date for Valentine's Day. which sucks because I was planning to email someone I like but you just reminded me why I can't for another three weeks, I had completely forgotten.

This may be a pretty tough challenge. Ideally, you'd want to get a date for this weekend, and play it into a date next weekend. Even then, the day itself could be awkward. Seems like too much work.

In my experience, hooking up on Valentine's out at a bar was totally easy. If you aren't smooth, tell people your girlfriend dunped you last week or something to get some PITY ACTION going on.

Also, since when do guys honestly care about being lonely on Valentine's day anyway? That's kind of emo. $:-\$ :'(
