giant stuffed owl, some books, flowers, a card, and leonidas chocolates for my wife. Going to dinner in the middle next week because going to dinner on valentine's day is a recipe for crowds and hassled staff.

in return I am getting a spreadsheet game of my choice TBD in the future ( think I am going to preorder Across the Dnepr for Kharkov Doughnut Disaster) , a USB laptop cooler, and a new kitchen scale.

well it was something she wanted. I would have gotten her some jewelry but i'm a practical man i get things that get used and or needed. She needed a netbook and she wanted wiifit it all works out in the end. I also go her some jewelry because i'm not dumb but I haven't payed it off yet.

This wasn't even the most stupid thing I did today. I'm really bad at directions and get lost all the time. So when I was taking the bus today I was reading my text book and not paying attention to where we were when all the sudden the bus driver calls out "This bus is now out of service". Instead of stopping at the usual stop he had just turned the corner of the usual stop and parked there instead. I didn't realize this and when I got off I just started walking forward, for six blocks, before I realized I was exactly where I wanted to be when I got off the bus. It's -21c outside.
