You know i had never read Green Lanter comic books, until like 2 years ago, when i downloaded a bunch of them into my PSP and read them during the summer, and i really liked them.

Hearing about positive buzz for the script, and now Martin Campbell, is making me believe that this one if gonna be really fun. Much better than Superman anyway.

I seems like Green Lantern is a really though superhero to make a movie about.
He's not like Superman, flying around and shooting lasers from his eyes.

I have no attachment/knowledge of the character, but if its just going to be a typical superhero action movie, then Campbell is a good choice.

Green lantern is the fucking shit. Easily my favorite traditional DC character next to Batman.

Would be a hard sell, but they need to push it hard. This needs to be done right and done well in a way that it draws more than just comic fans in.

CG, and lots of it. They can be very creative with what type of stuff he makes with his ring.

yeah, i know it doesn't really fit into the science fiction aspects of the modern gl, but i always liked the look of the older stuff better

Only makes sense to use Hal Jordan. The rest of the green lanterns all have origins relating to Hal Jordan don't they?

And i believe it's Hal Jordan anyway. I think i read something about the script that said so. Wonder who Martin will pick, Ryan Gosling would be a cool choice.
