define which type of people?

Bipeds with two eyes, two ears, and a brain that weighs about 1400 grams. In other words, all of them.

Depends on how much work you do on your own. If you study like crazy then it doesn't matter if you skipped class, you still are learning the material.

All my profs had strict attendance policies. They would have failed me, no matter what my test grades were.

I studied like crazy for about two or three weeks around December and one week in January. Outside of that, I sit around DELETED

If it makes you feel better, I'm close to getting expelled.

I always feel guilty about skipping class. I skipped class twice this week in one of my upper level business classes because I decided it was too cold to get in my car.  :-\

I always went to class as little as possible. And in most lecture classes, I barely paid attention.

very impressive

Last semester I did none of the work and managed to get a B.  Awesome feeling to get decent grades with little to no effort.

tsk tsk are you sociophobic?

I have social anxiety along with generalized anxiety disorder.

Swaggaz, oddly the exam I studied hardest for also happened to be my worst.

The worst thing about skipping classes is not that your profs/instructors would be unimpressed, it's the guilt of attending after a few missed classes and feeling like an ass who accidentally stepped in the wrong room. You'll feel disconnected and embarrassed, which makes you want to avoid going to the next... thus creating a vicious cycle.

Any time I actually attend class, I feel I don't belong.

Always? or just after missing some then attending one?

Even in September when I was actually attending most of my classes.

I know that feeling

Each semester I pick one course I want to get an A in while the 3 or 4 others I'll worry less about, it totally backfired last semester.  I actually got a B- in that course and I wanted to complain to the teacher, but I got lazy and forgot about.  That was just a one time thing, usually I can get an A- at least for one course, then around B for the rest.

Well that's how I felt when I was in med school... guess what I did?

Came out of the closet to Curse?

For the record, I don't want to be a lawyer.

Malek, if it's just a social anxiety thing, why not get on a very low dosage of Xanax (like .5 mg)? If you explain your condition to a doctor and how it is causing you to almost get expelled from college, he should acquiesce (sp) and help you out.

Nah, I understand him.  I missed three or four lectures this week, but each one rips their material straight from the text books.  I'ma do fine.

FA, I already explained earlier in the thread that I'm not going to class because of anxiety reasons. Get off your fuckin' high horse, and stop telling me what to do.
