WASHINGTON – The post office will get an extra 2-cents worth when you mail a letter starting in May.
The U.S. Postal Service announced Tuesday that the price of a first-class stamp will rise to 44 cents on May 11.

I swear it goes up every year now.

If gas prices are going down, why are stamp prices going up?

I thought it was because there is now a lesser volume of mail going out, and as such less postage and stamps being paid for, and as such prices are being increased on the existing customers to make up for the revenue shortfalls of less mail being delivered.

"If less people are willing to use the mail, what do you thing raising the price will do?  it has to be big government's social plans. "

A lady I worked with went to the post office during lunch today to buy stamps. I kind of looked at her funny like... for real? Stamps?

I thought we were beyond such things as a society.
