I don't care what he does as long as he doesn't go to the 49ers.

The Dolphins fighting for a spot in the Super Bowl while the Jets fight for the #1 draft pick in 2010. I like the sound of that.  :-*

Packers To Favre: 'Take Your Time, Asshole'
Quote from: The Onion
ASHWAUBENON, WI—Green Bay Packers front-office officials have informed three-time MVP Brett Favre they can wait for his decision on whether or not he's planning to retire for "as long as it fucking takes." "This is a big decision for Brett Favre, and we can't deny that he's the heart and soul of our team, the most important Packer, the most important person in all of America, and the center of the whole entire universe," Packer general manager Ted Thompson said Tuesday. "It's not like we have to make any major decisions that all hinge on whether or not he's returning, after all. We'll just ride around on our lawn tractors on our farm in Mississippi while we wait for him to make up his goddamn mind." Favre would not say when he might announce his decision, admitting that he was "too much in awe of what Mr. Brilliant Genius Thompson did with the 4-12 Packers last year" to commit one way or the other.

It's too bad the Browns hired Mangini .. I wouldn't mind taking Favre for a year once he decides to unretire.

One of the greatest QBs of all time.

That being said, dude lost my support with the retirement flap. He owes an apology to Rogers and his arrogance screwed the Jets in the long term.

I hate that argument.

Favre was never very talented or very smart.  He's not a very good football player.  He's always had two things going for him- his arm and his durability, and that's about it.  Keep in mind that he also holds the record for interceptions.  I want to change the name to "throwing a Favre".

He was pretty damn good for about 5 years.  Won three straight MVPs, I think it's a little bit of a stretch to say he 'was never very talented.'  I understand that he was on painkillers and had to share one of those MVPs, I don't care.

Explain how at age 38 he throws for over 4,100 yards with 28 touchdowns and completes something like 66% of his passes, yet he isn't very talented. Explain how a QB makes it as long as he did, with no real talent. He sucked down the stretch last year but he still did better than anyone thought he would.

Yeah, keep in mind that he holds the career interception record. Also keep in mind he has the career records for attempts, completions, yards, touchdowns. Also keep in mind he's top 5 in pass attempts per game and top 10 in pass yards per game. So why the fuck are people continually paying him millions of dollars and putting the ball in this hands so much every game if he only has an arm and a high pain tolerance  :lol

Maybe you're confusing Favre with guys who actually do suck aside from having rocket arms. Guys like Jeff George, Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Dan McGwire, Tim Couch, Andre Ware, JaMarcus Russell. I can go on and on.

Amen. I'm gonna punch Triumph in the mouth if he dismisses Favre's positive records as coming with the territory of playing for so long...then continues to trumpet the INT stat. smh

You guys need to start thinking for yourselves and quit reading Peter King or listening to Tony Kornheiser verbally tongue Favre's butthole.

If nothing else, Favre is a needy drama queen that has fucked over two different franchises the past two offseasons.  Fuck him.

Well yeah clearly we are the ones who need to think for ourselves because hating on Brett Favre is so original and new. I mean... Brett Favre sucked aside from having a cannon and not being injured I mean wow, I never heard that before  :lol

Triumph is just one of those guys that decides to hate someone (usually when it is going against the grain of popular thought) then just cherry picks reasons to justify it. Nothing really novel about it. Every superstar has them.

Dude made plays, dude won games. He lost games too obviously. Dwelling on his negatives only exposes you as a hater. No one is sucking Favre dick here, but refusing to admit his positives is just as bad

Super Bowls and MVPs are forever, one lost season to the Packers will not matter.  He didn't fuck over the Jets this season so I'm not sure how he 'fucked over two different franchises.'  He's saving them $13 mil in cap space and making the decision before FA starts, wtf do you want him to do?

I smell a little bit of bitter falcon fanboy in your anti-favre rants.  No one is sticking up for what he's done this last decade, it was the decade before that where he was formidable.  His longevity got him records he probably doesn't deserve (Marino fanboy here) but you can't argue what he's done in the league.  Peter King and Tony Kornheiser can't single-handedly vote him into the Hall of Fame first ballot, which will undoubtedly happen.

Manning will pass his TD and yards records in five years. He'll be nice and let Favre keep his interception record.
