That clip reminds me of vintage Letterman and shows you how awesome he used to be. I don't think a lot of people realize how amazing he was back in the late 80's, early 90's.

why can't these late night shows come on earlier in the night? For eastern time, they're on at like 1 fucking in the morning

I think the saddest thing that I've seen on the TV was Weezer performing The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived at the Spike VGA awards. Rivers looked so fucked up that it was scary as hell. I tried to find a video but Viacom took it down.
