I don't like much on Wii, but I don't think I could possibly hate it. Super Mario Galaxy was just that good.   :hyper

I don't hate any of the machines, but both the Wii and PS3 have been majorly disappointing to me, meanwhile the 360 has been my de-facto console of choice, and I didn't care much for Xbox1 at all. Though I'll say I'm extremely curious to see what's gonna happen to the games industry, they say it's recession proof but lots of companies have taken hits lately :(

Sadly my sister was one of those Wii Fit purchases.  I tried to warn her that it sucks and pretty much guaranteed her she would lose interest in it quickly.  Talked to her today and she was all, "this thing doesn't work right, I'm gonna see about taking it back for another one."  I told her no, it just SUCKS.  I TOLD YOU.

Wait 'til next month when the Little Big Planet catches the world on fire and everyone will be talking about it.  This is a word-of-mouth title people.  It's going to snowball into something HUGE any minute now.  Just you wait.

Wii haters are comedy gold

Blind wii hate is abhorant.
Those of us who own them have every right to hate.

Really, because I think plenty of "decent" games come out on the system. I suspect its extreme apathy for you and others. If it doesnt have AAA production values then the software gets ignored. Like during the "drought" last year I took a chance on a kitchen sim, minna golf clone with waggle, and a littlebigplanet shmup thing that weren't AAA perfect immaculate games, but did alot of things right and I didn't regret my purchases. I also thought Wii Music garners way too much hate from people who have never sat down and played it.

Boring NPD. Usually I can expect the wii to outsell ps2+ps3+psp+360 combined. At least Wii Fit is numero uno. I can't find it anywhere. Wish I didnt give away my first one.

edit: Wii haters are comedy gold. "They're all fat and stupid, that's why they dont appreciate the objectively superior 360!"

I saw two in Gamestop today.  Wii Fit annihilated.  Trend over.

Funny story - I know A LOT of people who bought Wii Fit.  Not a single one still uses it.  Not that this is surprising because that's how it goes for all late night infomercial exercise equipment.

Really, because I think plenty of "decent" games come out on the system. I suspect its extreme apathy for you and others. If it doesnt have AAA production values then the software gets ignored. Those types of games are only worth your time if you're not an HD gamer with an already huge backlog of superior titles between PS3, 360, XBLM, and PSN.  There's no way to keep up with the AAA, AA, and A titles, so why in the world would I wasted my time on a B or C title?  I don't even have the time or desire to keep up with the B and C titles on the HD consoles, and I'm damn sure not going to waste my time on similar titles that aren't in HD, use waggle, and don't give me points.

Oh, and I've tried a decent number of those "supposed" good, under-the-radar Wii games since I mistakenly put them at the bottom of my queue and they're always available at Gamefly, unlike the good 360 games which are always out of stock.  And you know what?  They've all either sucked or were only good for 30 minutes of fun.

I borrowed a Wii from work and played its best games (SMG and Geometry Wars: Galaxies) resulting in Nintendo not receiving even a single cent in profit. I've done a better job of sticking it to Nintendo than all you Wii owning fegs. And I'm supposed to be a FAN! You all make me sick.

Do you lack proper reading comprehension skills?  I was just speaking about what games deserve to be played.  And your shitty Wii games don't when you have a billion better choices.  The only reason Wii owners play those B/C level games is because they don't have shit else to play.

And spell my fucking name right.  TTT.

I tried.  I didn't like it.  It felt like a bland budget game and the grafting pieces to the ship thing lost its novelty within a few minutes.  I'm not even a good shooter on its own, and I don't give a shit about creating my own shit.

Give me a solid, old-school Saturn shooter over this any day of the week.

Go online and download other people's ships and stages.  Some people made really amazing custom things in the game, you're only getting half a game if you don't mess with the editor or download other people's stuff.  Hell, they created an excellent download distribution service just for this game.

I'm sure there's some cool stuff, but the game itself did nothing to draw me in.  I can just as easily see this cool stuff on YouTube.  That's the same issue LBP has.  You can just as easily experience the cooler shit on YouTube.

If Sony can't make a big hit out of something as marketable (and apparently good) as Killzone 2, the company should just kill off the PS3 right then. And restructure marketing entirely for the future. I can understand having trouble selling people on LBP, or even Ratchet, but Killzone 2 failing would be unbelievable.

GTFO, dumbass.

Did you play it?

No, and neither has anyone in the history of the universe because

YOU CAN'T FUCKING PLAY A NON-GAME, DUMBASS

Holy shit at Wii's fitness bonanza, what a pathetic console.

EA really dropped the ball with the Rock Band franchise on Wii.

The #8-selling 360 game sold better than the #2-selling PS3 game.

JILLIAN MICHAELS FITNESS ULTIMATUM

what is this?

Some angry guy comes on the screen and shouts random threats about your state of well being?

"YOU BETTER GET FIT MOTHERFUGGA, OR I KILL THE DOG"
"I have your HDD contents back up on here, run 10k of i mail it to the feds"
"... and where did you go last night? I'm sure your wife would understand! Want to cut that deal, fatty? 1000 press ups, MOVE THAT DOUGH because i'm going to call that number any second...."

Now this would be a fitness game we can all support!

No,the closest thing that we have is this

Quote
Things may change for Sony, especially with another year of fantastic exclusives planned for the system. Peter Dille, SVP of Marketing, ignores the January NPD results entirely and instead looks towards the future. "The PlayStation brand experienced a record year in sales in 2008 and we have every reason to believe our blockbuster line up combined with PS3's position as the best Blu-ray player and most sophisticated entertainment device out there, will continue to fuel increased marketshare and momentum into 2009. We've truly upped the ante this year with an unmatched software lineup ahead, kickstarting with the much anticipated and platform-moving title Killzone 2 later this month. We're the only company to offer three viable platforms today and will continue to deliver a seamless and comprehensive entertainment experience to our customers for many years to come."

http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/02/13/scea-almost-responds-to-lackluster-january-npd-results/

This is the first time since the PS3 release that Sony didn't comment on NPD,i think.

Sony needs to cut price this spring. Ideally, they'd do it with Killzone 2 in a couple weeks.

They need to take a hit to the bottomline to gain some momentum. It's not smart business, but it'll really make the console wars interesting.

God no wonder you were such a bad journa.... ahem pardon me.
They're already selling at a loss and doing terribly as is. As they have said the realistic expectation is to rectify the situation so they can at least make a profit. I'm sure if they could wave a magic wand to make ps3 cheap to produce it woukd've happened. Console Wars aren't a legit concern for Sony. Unless its some now-defunct gaming rag's worthless article.  I really don't think there's anything they can do but try to make appealing games and find a way to be profitable somewhere down the road. They are in an immovable position until manufacturing costs go down.

And console wars is already boring going on three years. NINTENDO DOMINATES, everyone else fights for the scraps.
