Meaning if you had both the of time and money available what field would you like to study? I was originally an art major and thought that teaching art was something I wanted to do. I was wrong. I have no regrets as I had fun in college and secured a decent job afterward.

But, if I could do it again I'd probably choose Biology, Astronomy, or Physics.

How about you? Again these choices are more about intellectual curiosity than practically.

i'd love to take a computer science degree but i fear my brain doesn't quite work properly with programming. i make intuitive leaps of logic which tend to be correct while skipping all the messy steps which demonstrate how i got there

I have accounting degrees and am halfway into an economics masters, but if I could pick another it would be PhD in Finance or Financial Engineering

I'm happy with my history degree, more out of the inherent satisfaction of the learning than any practical outcome.

I'd like to get my Master's in history someday.

Wouldn't mind a Masters in War Studies, Military and Strategic studies, International Relations, or Intelligence studies.

The only way I'd do another degree is if the ass fell out of my current profession. In which case I'd probably do something in physics/astronomy.

I'm really lucky with my recession-proof job. There are federal laws that require districts to have school psychologists, and there are never enough of us to fill all the positions.

Only problem is that if I ever want to get out of the profession, I don't know how helpful my Masters will be in getting another job.

I used to think this as well, but I've been finding psychology rewarding and very satisfying to learn. I've had to dig through like 4 fields to find something that clicks, but this is working out well, and it's the first thing I've studied that I can see myself studying for the rest of my life. What's kind of a bummer is that if I had realized this a decade ago, when I was 18, I could have looked into neurology or psychiatry, but going into those fields now, I probably wouldn't be done school until I was like 40, and that's if I figured out a way to go full time.

I've gotta get my first, but i'm studying up on tax law to become an IRS auditor. Its hell on earth but its a government job which means placement for life. My mother did it and my grandmother before her. Its not my first choice. I wanted to do behavioral studies and go into teaching emotional development and behavioral health science. I've not had time to get into anything full-time but I'm still going to school.

If I were to get a second degree, I would get something complementary to my current CompSci degree, like a degree in headbutting distinguished mentally-challenged motherfuckers. If I were to do it all over again, I would go English or Bio, away from the numbers.

I'd just read the books if this was only for personal interest. Classes are for preparing you for a career and will cover a lot of content that you don't have any personal interest in.

Bite the bullet and finish your undergrad degree, then get a grad degree in a field that you actually want to work in. don't bother with double-majoring (even though that's what I did :'(), grad degrees are worth more

I'm in a career, but I really like it, so I didn't care that I stopped school. If a degree isn't required for me to get this job, then sweet. I made bad grades in school, but it was mainly because I didn't care about school.

I won't lie - the job I have has sorta desensitized me on the whole graduate and get a job thing. I feel more like I'm getting a degree as a backup plan than as something for the future. I wish I had that sense of urgency and that thirst for career-building knowledge. I get good grades, but I never feel motivated. My favorite classes thus far have been political, philosophical, and economic. Unfortunately, that's like going to school for art. I'm too paranoid about obtaining a useless degree that I instead pursue a passionless career. I tell myself it'll be better once I'm in the field, but I don't know if that's true.

But if I quit school, I'd feel like I was doomed to be stuck here forever. So I go, and I go through the motions.
