This game owns, but they really should've called this Bowser RPG, because from what I've played so far, you play as him a good 60 percent of the time. Battles are fucking awesome though, and the sprites are nice.

There's a battle around 3 hours in that is fucking awwwesome.

Don't bother. It sucks. It is a short game made artificially long by enemies with high HP that are simple to beat. As a result, the game just feels like an agonizing, repetitive grind.
