I don't know if it even counts as a zombie flick, but I was actually really impressed with 28 Weeks Later. Pretty depressing, though.

Zombie films
Tombs of the Blind Dead (the 4th one is pretty decent too)
Zombi
...of the Dead trilogy (and the 90's remake is good too)
Dawn of the Dead remake
Return of the Living Dead Trilogy (avoid 4 and 5)
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Brain Dead/Dead Alive
Shaun of the Dead
Cemetary Man
Dance of the Dead
Night of the Creeps *
The Children (70's) *
Re-Animator Trilogy *
28 Days Later (and Weeks too) *

* Not technically zombie films but close enough.

Demon Films
Demons 1 and 2 and Church
Night of the Demons 1 and 2
Evil Dead

These are just off the top of my head. I'll see if I can come up with a better list later.

Only if you don't want a serious zombie movie, and you just want to turn off your brain for a while.

I enjoyed all of them too but I think out of the four 1 and 4 are the most watchable. While the acting is non existant, the films are chillingly quiet and the Templar Knights are very eerie to watch. Part two is quite fun at times as well (even though they shamelessly reuse a bunch of footage from the first film) and the third one has a cool haunted ship aspect to it that I liked.

Good luck on finding the third and the fourth one though. You can probably find the third one on a cheapy dvd compilation somewhere and I had to purchase a VHS copy of the fourth on ebay just to watch it.

Also Burial Ground is kinda fun too. Awful acting but the zombie make up and the incest story is genuinely creepy.

Does that look terrible on purpose?

its sort of b movie in some spots yes.  but its actually a pretty good zombie flick.  the trailers do a bad job of showing how the movie really is.  its also unique because im pretty sure its the only zombie movie to take place entirely in the wilderness

Versus is pretty fun and has some cool, over the top action sequences.  Also Junk, Wild Zero and Bio Zombies are watchable Asian zombie flicks as well.

junk's ending is insane.  just insane.

loved bio-zombie with the radical tonal shift for the ending.

currently watching Inferno for the first time in forever having just finished Sleepaway Camp.

Yeah Bio Zombie does take a huge tonal shift in its last third. It totally makes up for the rather slow and overly goofy 1st third. The ending reminds a lot of how Demons ended.

Finally leaving the enviroment they've been trapped in for the whole movie only to find the world is completely fucked.
