Yes I did. I hear allusions to him being a complete fraud, but I don't know the whole story. I'm sad to say, but I'm pretty interested. But not interested enough to actually search for whatever the fuck was the cause for his character shift. I thought he was some wealthy playboy on the west coast that just happened to spend his nights on an IRC chat room. If anyone could shed some light on this topic that would be appreciated... in limited capacity of course.
