I got sucked into the GTAIV hype, and was bored out of my mind. I know that if I were able to get the Lost and Damned DLC, I'd probably do the exact same thing.

I've done a few missions and it's basically GTA4 on bikes with a better cast (so far, anyway). I'd spent so much of my last hours in GTA4 in the air that it's kind of nice to be up close and personal with the city again, though going back to the iffy on-foot controls takes a lot of getting used to.

The races are now 100x better because whacking other riders off their bikes with a baseball bat is awesome. Bikes also handle better than some cars now, reminded me of the bike handling in vice city a bit, I don't know.

I just got run over and killed by my squad mate after completing a mission (but before the game saved) as he was driving away and now I don't have enough ammo or money to beat the mission. What a pain in the ass.

I can restart or just not use the mid-mission checkpoint, but what's the point in having mid-mission checkpoints if they keep screwing you progressively worse on each restart?

Finished it... sooner than expected. Forgot the progress meter also counted the optional stuff, so I was pretty surprised when the credits suddenly started rolling by. Plus side: the story never got a chance to slide... pretty much all missions were fun to do (especially the ones with a tie in to the main story). this is how dlc should be

There's at least an hour of cut scenes. Beating something in a certain number of days doesn't mean anything because you could be playing something for 30 minutes a day or 20 hours a day.

Lost and Damned's music >>>> GTA4

There's lots of good stuff here. The stations in Vice City and San Andreas were great at setting a certain mood along with a time and place but I never really got that with GTA4's tracks. Lost and Damned though is a return to form. Love the addition of Alice Cooper's "Go To Hell"....pretty much the prefect song for this game.

For those who installed GTA4 for on a 20gb hd, are you getting frequent pop-ups and missing textures in your game? I am - I don't experience this when it's not installed, though. So I'm thinking it could be that the game needs extra memory for cacheing?

My brother's got it installed on a 120gb hd and says he doesn't experience pop-up or missing textures. I'm guessing I need to buy a 120gb hd to install games now $:-\$ .
