Is there an actual point to rep and gamer zone on 360?

If so, I'm not seeing it.

You'd think matchmaking would pair me up with people of the same zone. You'd think matchmaking would group all the idiotic griefers (teamkillers, quitters, etc.) together. You'd think people that quit out of hundreds of matches in a row wouldn't have five star reps.

Nice online features you've built there, Microsoft. How about using them.

Just seems like in every game of Halo 3, somebody's quitting or somebody's teamkilling or both. Which is not much different than Halo 2, but Xbox 1 didn't have all these "features." Xbox 360 might as well not have them, either, for all the good they do.

I'll give negative rep to anyone who quits out of my game, even if it's someone on the other team, as I don't want to be paired with them in the future. I assume that part of matchmaking actually works. I'm sure I'll be disappointed soon enough.

And I've lagged out of a game once and Halo 3 docked me an experience point for it. Tough break.

They supposedly work, but since there's 10 million XBL users it doesn't really matter if you negrep someone or not since you'll never match up with him anyway.
