Hey, Timeshift is pretty good

I've had this sitting on the shelf because I didn't really like the demo, but today I've put in a few hours and found it surprisingly fun.

It looks really great, controls well, and the weapons are pretty good.  I like how the enemies move especially when they're being shot, and the AI seems on par with every other FPS.  Ammo is quite plentiful so I find I use a lot more weapon functions instead of conserving certain ammo.

I'm playing on the hardest and it's a decent challenge, I die now and then.  The time stuff is neat but I'm still getting the hang of it - the window isn't very long which is good because otherwise it would be too much of a "win" button.

I think it's a testament to Saber how good the game came out in spite of publisher changeovers, game changes, and the protracted development cycle.

It is a surprisingly solid game. I've only put about an hour or so into, but I keep getting distracted by a huge pile of unplayed games.

I saw an interview with Karch where he said they've been approached by a number of publishers for their next game, and the hardest thing will be making the right choice.  Good sign.

I remember Karch had an argument with Dyack at a roundtable and I liked Karch's commonsense point of view.  Dyack was going the "OMG games must strive to be taken as art and story is everything" route, whereas Karch seemed more interested in making good games, and if story is important to a particular game then so be it.

It is a surprisingly solid game. I've only put about an hour or so into, but I keep getting distracted by a huge pile of unplayed games.

Same here.  But now that I'm into it a little, I'm hooked.  I keep thinking about it when I'm not playing it.
