Bills and overdraft fees FUCK YOU BANK
Isn't it amazing how something you buy or that charges to your account will come out the day it hits, but a deposit can sometimes sit in the bank up to 3 days before you can use it? (My bank has a policy stating that can happen, but it hasn't happened yet)
Yeah thats exactly what happened to me. I have a direct deposit go through and usually its in that morning. But cause monday was a holiday is offset everything. I went along not thinking anything of it and payed bills and bought a few things. And before you know it the compounding overdraft fee of $210 bucks had ran my account dry cause two other overdrafts of $35 each to occur. Just cause whoever at the bank was lazy, technically I know its my responsibility but wheres the banks fucking responsibility in all this?
Your best bet is to go talk to the bank. Ask who you should talk to about overdraft charges and explain the issue. If this is a rare occurance, they may work with you to cancel some of those charges. I had an issue come up once, not like this, but sort of. My debit card's info got stolen by a girl working at the local Sonic (they ended up putting in the card at the pull in order areas after this) and I had to close my account. I opened a new one, but had to wait to get my money from the original moved to the new one. I had some bills hit and got charged on them. The bank worked with me and all overdraft charges, as well as money the girl stole, got put into my new account. Then they moved the remaining balance from my old account to my new one. If you are honest with them and its not a common occurance for you, most banks will work with you at least some.
But if they are dicks they will just cite that clause about, deposits may not immediantly be availably.
