There's zero story to base this around, just a bare glaze to justify a bunch of people getting together to fight each other for the very few that care. I'm against making videogame movies in general, but even considering that, Street Fighter seems like an especially poor choice. The other SF movie at least tried to play to SF strengths by embracing their colorful characters rather than greying them, but that turned into an abortion now, didn't it?

So I say again, why?

The problem with the old Street Fighter movie was that it was incredibly crazy and unbelievable, but for some reason they tried to inject some realism into but not letting the characters have awesome powers like in the games. Why?

They could get away with a movie, if they adapted the Street Fighter 2 animated movie.

I think that one would rock pretty hard.
