Nikon P6000, was going to get the Canon G10, but it was fucking enormous and at that point I would've gone SLR. Either way, with this I'll see if I actually enjoy taking pictures before manning up and getting an SLR.

How much did you pay for that camera, 500$? I think you can get a Nikon D40 DSLR for that.

Somewhere between $340 and $360.

indeed.  hate that the only way to get a lot of his stuff is to shell out astronomical sums for the opportunity.

i've been reading a story each night before bed and i love that his atmospheric invocations seems to transport you into another surreal and much darker world.

Last night I read The Town Manager and it struck me as something that would make an excellent film with a great denouement.  Could be a great commentary on governmental waste/bureaucracy.

i don't understand the difference between black and death metal.

Satanism/devil worship (or as it became, lyrics about trolls and various other creatures of folklore) vs everything from infant dismemberment to global warming. One tends to be more about atmosphere as opposed to musical value. I was pretty involved in the black metal "scene" at one point, but it's sort of sad seeing the same people still do that shit in their mid- to late 30s. A 16 year old aligning with an anti-social underground, sure. A 35 year old fattard screaming about the awesomeness of the devil and the horrors of churches? A lifetime of fighting windmills, go them.

The exception here would be Rotting Christ and Impaled Nazarene, but then they were never part of that group anyway.

death is more thrashy
black is darker, more often than not slower and has more of a grind to it.

Eh, I disagree. If anything, a band like Emperor feels closer aligned to thrash, and there's often a punk feel to underground black metal, likely because it's more about propaganda than it is music. More attitude than musical talent, that was certainly the case with me.

is thrash metal and thrash punk similar?

like anthrax vs dri?  I'd call them both "thrash" but dri is certainly punker than anthrax

I never really recognized Anthrax as thrash, despite their position in the industry. Glam-punk, or some shit. Testament was thrash.

Picked it up yesterday. I needed a more casual watch for more casual outfits.

I also rented 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Surprisingly good, and the first driving section was actually entertaining.

Now to bannish my awful furniture here in the apartment. We have so many odd pieces that it was becoming a mess, so now I got some bookshelf's.

then I went and got some clothing for my wardrobe, went to Mark Ecko Cut n Sew and Mark Ecko Unlimited. A lot of money later I got a few polo's, some limited edition star wars clothing, and even more polo's. My ass is broke! But I got a j o b now wooo!
