Read all the cases/chapters before the exam. Maybe read some online notes.

Yeah, I pretty much do the same thing. My instructors keep saying stuff like "the lectures are the most important!!!" when they're just regurgitating the books topics in their own words. Meh.

it's a self-serving comment by them, of course. The best that can be said is they focus on specific material, allowing you to ignore the unimportant parts.

It has to be that boring because if it was enjoyable, that piece of paper they give you would be meaningless in addition to worthless. This way, when you get it you can look at it fondly and think "man, I had to SUFFER for this worthless piece of paper."

I think it's the inefficiency of the whole thing. I can read four cases during the time it takes him to go over the main points of just one.

Let's not forget travel time plus throwing up afterwards time.

While I was in school, many of my exams had things that could only be from lecture material because they weren't in the book. In fact, one such professor created tests that were purposely 50/50. Half from lecture, half from the text. And the two did not co-exist. If you didn't come to class, you better hope you had a good notes-taking friend who did. Good times.

On Wednesdays I have classes for 8 hours, with a 30 minute break between them; the third class I have is the most boring thing ever. The other day I just sat there with my notebook out, a pencil in my hand and just sat there staring at the board while thinking about how I would want the PSP2 to be (best use of my time.) First and second classes rock pretty hard tho. Last class isn't that bad, but there is a stupid stoner kid who asks the worst questions; one day I seriously just wanna kick him in the face for making the class go on longer than it should.
