I love Diablo clones, ffs I even played Untold Legends to death on PSP, but I couldn't get into Monster Hunter PSP because of shitty controls and the fact that there weren't 3 other people in the room with PSPs to play coop.

Is PSO Portable playable as a single player game or is it stinky?

similar areas, new story/characters, AND NO DUMB CRAFTING

all drops and shops for DA LOOT

it is ever so much better this time around

sp is way better paced than any previous psu (or pso) game, although the plot is inane and i hope vivienne diaf

Any of you guys tried out Musou Raid yet? It's pretty much the Dynasty Warriors take on PSO.

Right now I am leaning towards PS Portable over it though.

Musou Raid? Have not heard of it. How is it like a Dynasty Warriors take on PSO? Is there loot and the like, or is it more like Dynasty Warriors taking place in a room-by-room dungeon, kinda like the awesomely underrated Crimson Sea 2?

It's a big improvement. I'm not going to lie and say it's an A+ game or anything, but it's probably my favorite musou-related title.

I only played a little bit (waiting for the English release for once), but it did seem like a more PSO-style (or perhaps Monster Hunter) take on Dynasty Warriors. You have a main "town," which is really just a small area with some merchants and a few people to talk to, upgrade weapons and other attributes, and go out on missions. The play fields are separated into smaller areas, and so far it's the same style of DW combat, but your character can now dash and jump all over the place, and when you power up, you change in appearance (DW meets DBZ) and can fly all over the place or do huge musou attacks. There are other flying enemies too (like wizards), but what sets this game apart is that you end up taking on HUGE monsters instead of soldiers, but I haven't gotten this far yet. It doesn't seem like there's loot to be found, but rather different types of elements you can get to create better weapons/armor/stats and such. The game is also up to 4P simultaneously just like PSO. A first for a musou game. You can also hold TWO weapons; everyone is based on their DW6 versions and it doesn't look like you can change their main weapons, but you can buy a second weapon and switch between the two at any time (which also leads to some fun, crazy combos); so if you have an archer and want to give him/her a sword, axe, tonfa, etc. you can do it!

Haven't seen many people talking about it. Koei Warriors probably has some stuff up on it. I noticed that there's also free DLC on PSN. Two packs so far; likely new missions and maybe some weapons.

I tried that Musou Raid demo and the combat is pretty damn fun, almost like a simple Shinobi or Otogi. Couldn't figure out how to go super and fly around tho.
