Life without 360
« on: March 05, 2009, 03:09:35 AM »
holy fuck this shit sucks. Ive been playing Wii for like 5 minutes a day and crying to myself  :'( I did get to play thorugh Yakuza 2 though so that was awesome.  I'd never thought so much of my daily happiness was generated by M$'s sexbox 360

Its been two weeks now, seems like a fucking eternity. Online repair status says its getting shipped back to me now, so yay.

With my Gamertag/Achievements/XBLA shit, I can just plug my HD back into the console when it returns and Im good to go right?

Might need to do a license transfer, but yeah, you'll be good to go.

:lol  It's terrible alright.  When mine was gone I didn't even play the Wii - I'm unsure if that's because the 360 breaking deflates my will to play or the Wii has nothing to play.  It's probably a little of both.

I hope it's back there soon.

Yeah, but you need to be on Live when you play or any DLC / XBLA shit wont be registered. You can go on Xbox.com and do a License Transfer though (but apparently that's all done for you at the repairing place).

Holy crap, not 10 minutes ago I started thinking of ringing an ex today.  I just changed my mind - I'm going to play Tomb Raider instead.

Since we're on the subject of the 360, my roomate tried to connect his ipod touch, but it doesn't seem to recognize it. What's the dillio?

iPod Touch no work with 360 due to a revised iPod OS on it. OTOH you're able to stream your Media Player 11 windoze library to the 360, or use Connect 360 with a Mac to stream EVERYTHING YOU OWN to your Xbox, so...

got my 360 back today. when i opened the tray my drive had been replaced... by a benq, fuck yeah. also on the note back they put a mark next to the motherboard, so apparently they fixed that too.

what a service, thing had been gone for exactly a week

Is Benq the better drive? I think mine's about to crap out; if it does, I'ma buy an Elite with HDMI rather than drop another 12,000 yen on MYSTERIOUS, NON-ITEMIZED REPAIRS. License Transfer FTW.

Does it make any sense to have a system with HDMI, a 175w PSU yet the written voltage and amp info found on launch boxes and zephyrs?
