I always wash my hands. One of the reasons I rarely get sick is because I'm anal about this shit. I think I have OCD in regards to germs, honestly. Because I can never stop washing enough

I was wondering after you mentioning it in a couple threads that you had what they considered morbidly high, but that's pretty high.

I just checked and I was 148/102 which is still really shitty high, + I'm already on BP medication, + I'm diabetic so any high BP is like double whammy on my organs.

I just can't leave the booze and salt alone  :'(

Yeah, I'm already on one bp medication (though I take it first thing in the morning, so I am far away from that dose).  They said I'm going to need at least one more, but I think they might need more than that if they want the diastolic to go below 100.

I suspect my love of amphetamines when I was younger didn't do me any favors in regards to this.  That and all the alcohol.  So much beautiful alcohol.

To be honest, this is the highest it's been since I've been out of the hospital (and that I've measured).  Systolic is usually 140-160 and diastolic is usually between 110-120.

When I first went in the ER and they took my BP, they were like "That can't be right, give me your other arm. Oh, the same.  Uh, let's try again in 15 minutes."  And then repeat that every day when I'd have a new nurse.  I thought my patient chart would have mentioned that I apparently have blood pressure high enough to pierce kevlar.

I got a machine.  My doctor recommended it.  He said this is kind of more important than whatever arthritis fucked up my leg to begin with.  He has me monitoring it every day on a card and I'm going to give it to him when we meet up again in a week and a half.

Whenever I've had a Doctor take my BP it has always been within the "bit high but OK" range, yet whenever a machine takes it I always get awful (but consistant!) readings.

I'm more apt to trust the machine at this point, the Docs always seem like they've barely read it then tear off their stethoscopes and my arm bit and are like "yar, it's high" without telling me a proper reading or when they do, it's "just above 140/90"

I only ever discovered my high BP while I was waiting for a few prescriptions and being bored and on a whim I sat down at that self-tester in the corner that I've only ever seen scooter-jockeys use.

I then saw some numbers I didn't like.

The flu has been spreading like wildfire in my parts.  I had it last week.  Couldn't keep anything down (either puked it up or shat it out), ached all over, and had a fever.  So there you go.
