Real Life FMLs
« on: March 08, 2009, 07:21:41 PM »
Today, I threw out a 'Roll Up The Rim' coffee cup before checking to see if I won.  So, with out thinking, I took it out and then proceeded to to peel up the rim with my teeth.  I was in a room full of 200 people.  FML.

In my defense as far as I could tell there was nothing disgusting in the garbage!   :'(

Also, [today] the only thing I got for my birthday was a GPS.  I don't drive.  FML.  :'(

spoiler (click to show/hide)
my mom also got food and said I could buy myself something on amazon so this technically isn't true but it's funnier this way.

You probably got salmonella poisoning, so it wasn't a total loss.

I hope I die from it.   Not that it matters, Latin is slowly killing me anyways.

also last week I was just done a class and was about to skip latin class when I spotted my latin prof in the hallway.  I was walking in the opposite direction of class.  Anyways I got all embarrassed and when he spotted me, I gave a slight nod and kept walking - and when I say slight I might not actually have nodded, I can't remember.  My face was all red though.  I'm sure of that.  He said something which may or may not have been directed at me.  I kept walking.  Anyways I obviously could not have skipped the class after that so I went and bought some food that is only available in the direction I was heading then went to class.  The whole time in class he kept calling names for answers and skipping me.  Finally at the end he says "I'm sorry arvie, I've been ignoring you" with an emphasis on 'ignoring'.  I say "That's alright" and he then looks all dejected and hurt.  He doesn't make eye contact with me much anymore in class and isn't friendly like he use to be to me.  I so fucking socially inept.   :'( :'( :'( :'(

No I think I just told the story bad.  And I think maybe I just heard the emphasis on ignoring to because I felt guilty and embarrassed.  He's rather nice.

Also I made a comment in my philo class that was really stupid this week too.  The third time I actually spoke in class to. And another fucking compsci assignment of mine got lost during the hand in process. This week was a wreak.   Fuck.

The topic was about Mr Molineax's question to Locke about if a blind, suddenly being given the ability to see, could distinguish between a sphere and cube.  I did not have the reading done for class.  My comment was something along the of "there are blind artists who can paint with prospective".  The prof then asked me what does this mean for locke's answer that a blind person could not make out the difference in the sphere or cube.  I, not expecting to be asked anymore questions on it, stuttered, tried to form idea, said "I don't know", then tried for another thirty seconds to for the idea before being cut of by the prof, who then directed the discussion back the the comment made before mine.  I then read the required reading the next day and realized what I said was totally off.   :'(  I also handed in a paper on spinoza that I fear was not good at all.  I fucking hate my life.

edit:  every time I say something in class I get so nerviness about saying it that I screw my self up.

The only thing I felt good about this week is finding out that even though I got a 59 on my last calc midterm, I was still 9% above class average.   :tophat

latin class.  Apparently in ancient Greece world if you found another guy in bed with your wife you could legally kill him on the spot or hold him ransom for money from his family, but if you found out he was fucking your wife but didn't catch him in the act you had to take him to court.  If the husband one the case the worst punishment he could inflict on the other guy was dildo the dudes ass with, I think he called it a tulip device, a metal dildo that expands.

We were reading plautus plays and learnt all kinds of awesome sex customs in the ancient world.
