Unfortunately I trimmed it for today's court appearance.

And as you can tell (I'm posting in the middle of the night) I can't sleep. Fuckin' anxiety.

That sucks. You're going to be all disjointed walking through your day tomorrow. I hate that feeling.

I didn't really sleep the previous night either because I was nervously anticipating judge shadowing.  :-\

I used to be like that, really worrying about speaking in public at school, don't remember when I got over it.

Now I speak to groups in a foreign language I don't speak that well, with little anxiety.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, everything will (can) get better Malek!

And how did you lose your anxiety?

For me it comes down to fear of failure. At some point I realised I feel like more of a failure when I don't do something. When the choice is left to me to do something that causes me anxiety, I probably won't do it. The trick for me is, there has to be someone who knows I'm not doing the thing I should do. I can't stand the thought of somebody maybe judging me as a failure based on not doing something, so I HAVE to do it, regardless of what I go through to get there.

Knowing that, I started creating situations in which people (my parents, my boss, colleagues) were expecting me to do something, so there's no escape.
This works especially well in my work, I do everything that comes on my path, so they promote me, I have to do tougher things, etc.

tl;dr create situations that you can't skip out of, and slowly get used to it.
