My copy was fine.  That's nutso that the boiling water trick worked.

I got like DRE's every 30 minutes while playing disk 4, it was horrible. This was before I could install to the drive, too

Let me join the f 360 club. I can't get it to connect to the internet. It was working perfectly fine the other day and nothing has changed on my end since then.

I tried to get my 360 to connect when I first got it back in December and it wouldn't; I'm fairly sure it's my cable modem but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.  Would be nice to play demos, tho.
