What's the most you've ever paid for a console?

I bought a Japanese PS2 at launch, and paid $1,300 and got Street Fighter, and Ridge Racer with it.  :lol

To this day, I feel pretty stupid for having done that.  At the time I was thrilled with it, but now i'm a little more sensible about spending my money, and my wife would never tolerate such a purchase.  ;)


Any of you as crazy as me?

Well, the last console they bought for me was GC and I was 15.  :P

I also got a GBASP with Golden Sun from some kid a few years ago for $50. That was awesome.

Whatever it cost me for PS2 at launch.. i think it was $300

$400 for the 360.  I did have about $300 in trade-in credit, though.  After that, $250.

The only console I bought at launch. PS1 for 299.


I've always had to buy consoles for myself. When I was 13 I saved up enough to buy a Genesis (199).
