i really liked the original, even though it got goofy as fuck in places, there was still a level of menace which was kind of impressive

The  original is an incredibly strange movie.  At first I was put off by it, but once I got the vibe, I totally dug it.

The remake is pretty fuckin' bad movie awesome.  Even beyond the edited best parts video, it holds up as bad cinema excellence.

God, that Wicker Man trailer reminded me of the one for "Shining" that makes the Stanley Kubrick film into an inspirational film.

Never saw the remake due to bad word of mouth. I did really enjoy the original. Very surreal little cult film with a nice seductive dance number with a nude Britt Ekland.  :drool
