Some quick thoughts...
- Graphics are decent, about average for a movie-licensed game like this.
- The controls felt sluggish at first, but I upped the sensitivity and eventually got used to them. It still feels slow when you're holding L2 to aim, but it's not unplayable or anything.
- Curving bullets is pretty fun. You just hold R1 and aim with the stick and a line of sight shows up. When the line is red, it means you won't hit him. When it's white, you release R1 and it hits him. Found it easy to do and intuitive. There's also another ability where you slow time going from cover to cover and can unload on the enemies. You gotta charge up both of these abilities by getting 1 or 2 kills (1 for curving, 2 for slow-mo)
- The major theme of the game is taking cover. In the demo, you literally just go from cover to cover and barely move around. Like 80% of the movement in the demo was just going from cover to cover in a plane (seat to seat, aisle to aisle, etc.). I hope the full game opens up a little more because this couldn't possibly be more linear.
With all that said, it seems like a solid rental. I loved the movie so I'm def gonna rent and see what they do with the story, if anything.
