Is E3 worth attending this year?

I just saw an E3 registration notice in my mailbox today.   

Is E3 going back to being an extravagant spectacle or is it just going to be the boring trade show that it's been for the past few years?

Are PC developers and hardware manufacturers not participating?  Nvidia used to have a really cool booth.

I'm going (well, if I get a day off during that time). I used to dislike the how it got so big and bloated, turning into a gigantic spectacle, but then I realized that's what made E3 what it was.

There are some attractive women there that are not booth babes.  Quite a few companies had good looking PR reps that didn't dress like prostitutes.

I never liked the booth whores. It took away from alot of actual info. Back when all I could do is watch G4 for info all they did was shitty shots of these stupid looking women pretending to give a damn about you and whatever video game they were plugging.

I only get in 'cause my dad's friend is a major videogame retailer in LA so I don't get into parties or get free stuff.

They give out swag at parties most of the time, but its mostly about the booze. You can get tons of useless shit just going to the various booths.
