Yeah. There was talk for a really long time that they were going to scrap what Spike did and turn it into the average dreamworks CGI film. You know, a hilarious comedy about funny monsters and a kid voiced by Shia Leboeuf.

It's hard to say for sure just from the trailer, but it looks like it still has the same kind of feel as that early clip that was leaked a year or so ago.

Sit in the front of the car, get out give your dad the seat and sit in the back. Yes it seems like trouble but atleast strangers on the internet don't find it amusing then.

I like how it has a touch of 80s Jim Henson-ness plus modern effects that blend well and allow for things that couldn't have happened 20 years ago.

yeah that is weird, but we were getting my dad who was like 5 seconds away. In the same damn strip mall. It wasn't like I was driving around town in the backseat.

That was/is my favorite children's book of all time. Good stuff.

My son digs the book now too, I read it too him quite often now. So, yeah regardless if it sucks or not, we'll be there to see it.

While I think this'll be good, there's just some experiences and stories you can't possibly replicate through film unless you brach out and make it your own, successfully. That's why the Polar Express movie was such garbage, and most of these children's books to films end up that way as well.

I've never heard of the book either. My parents never read to me. Luckily I learned how to read on my own when I was four or five.

I dunno, we grew up with Roald Dahl ( forgot his name). He had awesome books, Matilda etc. Were awesome,awesome books. I don't know who authored this, or what the hell this story is about, but it can't be that good, not as good as the Roald Dahls.

They aren't even comparable. Roald Dahl's stories have actual substance and structure w/chapters and the such. Where The Wild Things Are is, like, five sentences long with illustrations that are meant to draw the reader in visually.

I always hated the book because the character's name was the same as mine. I automatically hated any book with a character named Max in it.
