Can anyone spare a Warcraft character?
« on: March 27, 2009, 02:44:58 PM »
I wanna check out WOW for the first time since the beta.  More specifically, I wanna play Wrath of the Lich King.  However, I don't wanna go through the trouble of leveling up to 55.  Does anyone here have an account that is not needed any more?  PD mentioned that Forgotten Ancient is looking to get rid of a WOW account.  Anyone else?

Thanks a lot, Frag.

How should I learn how to play?  I know absolutely nothing about WOW.

I'm installing the client right now.  The backstory sounds interesting.

Arthas sounds like a real bastard.  Is there any chance that the players could kill him?

Usually people learn as they play, that's what the leveling curve and gradual introduction of abilities is for  :lol

the duder on that account is a warrior so might be best to just do some reading on the wow warrior boards.

Yea, check out the class forums at the WoW site. Plus there are some other sites I use
http://www.wowinsider.com/
http://tankspot.com/
http://www.wowhead.com/

What server?

I guess I can create another character so that I can play Lich King and learn the basic skills at the same time.

I always liked tankspot. Then again I was a pretty badass tank.

Yea, great site. The guides are helpful, and I love the raid content videos. Great way to learn a fight

I love tanking

just find a fury warrior guide and copy the talent spec and play with the core abilities. do some quests in northrend.

heck, start a deathknight.

early level wow = ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ at this point. the newer stuff is SO much better.

I believe he's supposed to be killable in the last content patch of Lich King, before the next expansion comes out.

Yea I've been leveling a shaman - lv25 so far - and it's rather boring. I've passed the period where rolling through Deadmines (one of my fav instances) is fun or necessary. It's like nobody does instances at that level.

Anyone with characters in the 40-60 range? Is it hard to find people for instances? I rarely see people looking for Mara/Blood Furnace/Mana Tombs/etc groups in trade chat, and often wind up running guildies through since they can't find anyone their level.

Ok, the game's finally ready to start.  I'm gonna get pwned so bad 'cause Frag's character is on a PVP server!

It's not nearly as cruel as asking a new player to tank before so much goodies were added into the game for tanks lately. Tanking is way easier now than it used to be.

I'm fine with using a tank as my first character.  Warrior types have always been my favorite in fantasy RPGs.

Besides, Frag has already gotten me to LVL 70 along with a kick ass mount and decent gear so I already have it much easier than most noobs.
