As a big wino I am on a few wineries mailing lists for their new releases, which are billed automatically to my debit card. This year my debit card had to be cancelled due to the number being compromised, so i've had to change my info with several places so far. One place, however, has a computer that just keeps running the numbers every few hours for whatever reason. So initially my card was denied several times and they e-mailed to let me know that i needed to give them a new number. However when i called them just now they told me that after a few days of my card being run incessantly, the credit card company just went ahead and billed my account anyway, instead of letting me know that someone was trying to bill a dead credit card over and over and over and over.
