First Magicball, now this...

It's a top-down shooter with smash tv/geo wars influences. Trailer here http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/01/26/watch-a-lot-of-zombies-die-in-new-burn-zombie-burn-clip/

- it's quite a bit deeper than i expected, multiple modes, the scoring system as well

- lighting the zombies on fire is a major point of the game... you light em on fire and get your multiplier up and kill the normal ones, but the ones on fire also drop better pickups like weapons and tnt upgrades

- sick weaps that feel REALLY satisfying to use... the shotty is just awesome, there's also an uzi, a lawnmower, a baseball bat you can charge up and knock them off the screen, pistol, probably some other ones

- tnt and tnt upgrades... this is a huge facet of the game. you get the highest scores using tnt but the way you get tnt is a balancing act... you get it from normal zombies but you get tnt upgrades from burning zombies you lit on fire...

- there's 8 mini tutorials to give you an idea of how deep the game...but they're really easy to understand

- controls are great, you press r1 or x to shoot, L1 to lock-on, L2 to strafe, R2 is the fire

- animation is awesome, the zombie gibs (when they explode, etc) look fantastic and gorey

- this is one of the best top-down shooters of this gen...i'm not exaggerating in the least. It's a must-buy and that's coming from someone who's grown tired of this stale genre...

$9.99, you guys gotta get if you like this genre at all..

I actually did that once. There was a Rock Band live stream before the game came out and I had GH3 guitar in hand pretending to play. I don't know if I feel worse about doing it, or ignoring that I had GH3 sitting in my 360 at the time and I was doing this. Either way, that was some sad stuff.

burn zombie burn looks pretty alright. If I wasn't already content with dual stick shooters to make a blind buy, I'd have purchased it. Maybe if there is a demo in the future.

I was actually thinking about it since it has the 3D mode, 4 player co-op, the 2D mode and bunch of other stuff. But no way for $25

and btw, Dishwasher is finally coming out on XBLa this week.

Spelunker doesn't really strike me as coming to the west anyhow. It seems too weird Japanese and most of that stuff doesn't come over.

there's a bunch more weapons than the ones i listed above and there's a few different modes and also "challenges" that are varied and unique

and there's a lot of other things i didn't touch on in this thread like the different types of zombies (exploding, football helmet charging, crazy, big ogres, ninjas, and probably more, i'm only on first stage), what the "challenges" are (great and varied), the protect daisy mode, the timed mode, some other weapons (got a big ass chain gun last time playing)

$10 for one of the better downloadable games this gen that happens to be packed with content is a steal
