my choice makes perfect sense in a context of "holy shit regular soda is totally empty calories and should be avoided like the clap". Even with regular exercise four or five times a week, I'm pretty cautious about eating or drinking things that clearly are terrible because I'm not in my 20s or what not anymore.

so diet dew it is when I want a mountain dew fix. Which isn't all that often.

That does make sense, Frag. I tend to avoid sodas myself for the same reason, but love the taste of code red yet hadn't seen it anywhere in ages, thus the purchase and subsequent freak out.
