You pay a decent amount and that gets u in and a meal while the performance goes on. You'll be seated depending on when and package you ordered. The King will at times ask for crowd participation. The dungeon/torture walk will be extra. Overall its a fun experience, adult or not.

At the Medieval Times in north GA, when I and a friend went, the king actually told us to get the food out of our mouths and respond, lol.

The one I went to the wenches were dressed in sorta simplish dresses that looked medieval. They wore colors based on what section they served during the show. There was a princess in a princessy dress. They would talk to you in character. The food i got was pretty good.

We got a haunch of chicken, a thing of spare ribs, garlic bread, served old style, a tomato soup in a bowl that u drunk, and an herb baked potato that i wanted the recipe for. And u get 2 rounds of drink, which they did offer sweet tea in the one in GA.

but u ate everything with ur hands. or drunk it from a bowl.

all that over about 1.5-2 hours as the performance goes on before you.

the red knight won, he was totally gay

I had two cups of beer that were hellaciously overpriced but not that bad

the princess had the worst valley girl/faux British hybrid accent

the evil Green knight waas awesome though, he was bald and scowling all the time and someone from our group developed a personal rivalry with him from the crowd based on hand gestures and intense staring

the food is hilariously mediocre, and no utensils

overall, fun to go if someone else is paying but not really worth your own money

in all fairness to to the fake dorky camelot which serves ribs and calls them dragon claws, my experience was colored by the fact that a) i was already sort of drunk when we got there and b) everyone had outvoted me on going to the wild west themed dinner theatre (i still think being served fountain soda by old-timey prostitutes > medieval maidens)

grain and grapes are cheap. mead comes from honey which is expensive.

I'm going to assume you're asking the smart question. There is still some residual sugars left, since the yeast can not convert it or the yeast conks itself out after it's alchol tolerance has been meet still leaving some fermentable sugars.

No no, I asked the stupid question. I didn't think the yeast would stop until the glucose was pretty much finished. As far as natural sweetness goes, it doesn't sound like there's any real difference between honey and plant matter.

I just assumed that just like honey doesn't taste identical to a heavy syrup, once all the sugar gets used up there'd still be traces of the honey flavor.

I haven't been to Medieval Times, but I have been to Dixie Stampede (the western themed one). I just remember watching my parents and their friends getting drunk and embarrassed in crowd participation games for my enjoyment.
