Will buy one, and rent the other. Prototype looks like a blast, but I have a feeling it won't take all that long to see all the sights, so to speak.

Between moving to my own place, and getting the $ ready for Milan, i'm gonna rent Infamous and download Prototype. It's hard out there for a broke ass.

I think it's pretty much unchallenged in offering destructive opportunities and variety in how to tear shit up. Unlike later efforts like Crackdown, it also offered some progressive challenge level by way of Hulk Busters and deadlier strike teams. The powers kicked ass, too.

I don't think I'm getting either game, but that is distinguished mentally-challenged timing indeed. Sometimes I get the impression developers/publishers live in a bubble.

Awesome. Between these and Bionic Commando will have lots of fun HD action until DQIX import in July.

Now why aren't there any games coming out until the 2nd half of May?

Not that I need any new games with my backlog, but nothing new and exciting to look forward to from now until Bionic on May 19th.

Infamous seems to have more potential simply due to the fact that it almost seems to be a linear action game set in an open world while Prototype is a complete sandbox game. I suppose they both have potential.

Actually kind of good news for the frugal gamer, since it means I won't have to wait long to filter the forum impressions and make my choice on which game will fill the hole while I wait for Crackdown 2.

Infamous was just pushed up a week, it's now releasing May 26th.

They say they're releasing it earlier only because of Sucker Punch working extra hard. I'm thinking it's because of another action game releasing around the same time

Infamous looks ugly and repetitive. Prototype looks repetitive, but also looks like a blast. Will probably rent both.
